Vrikshamate Salumara Thimmakka Videvasa! – Btv Kannada

Bangalore: Vrikshamate Salumara Thimmakka has passed away. Padma Shri awardee Salumarada Thimmakka (114), who was suffering from age-related ailments, breathed her last today at a private hospital in Jayanagar, Bengaluru.

Salumada Thimmakka was honored by the central government with the Padma Shri award in 2019 for his social service. The centenarian ‘mother’ of the Salumara tree is now just a memory.
