Weapons recovered in Manipur, more than 300 rifles and guns were found, watch video

Imphal: There has been great success during the joint operation of Manipur Police, CAPF, Army and Assam Rifles in Manipur. A stock of arms has been recovered from the outskirts of 5 districts of the valley. These weapons have recovered explosives and other war materials including 151 SLR rifle, 65 INSAS rifle, 73 types of rifle, 5 carbine guns, 2 MP-5 guns and others.

What did the ADGP of Manipur Police say?

ADGP Lahiri Dorji Lahatu of Manipur Police said, “A search operation was carried out by joint teams of Manipur Police, CAPF, Army and Assam Rifles in the outskirts of 5 districts of the valley on the midnight of 13-14 June. A large number of explosives and other war materials were recovered during this period.

He said, ‘151 SLR rifle, 65 INSAS rifle, 73 other types of rifles, 5 carbine guns, 2 MP-5 guns and other war materials have been recovered. The total guns and rifles recovered are 328. This intelligence-based operation is a major achievement in the Manipur police and security forces to restore normal status, maintain public arrangements and ensure safety of citizens and their properties.
