New Delhi: Squadron Leader Neha and Akanksha, who blew Pakistan’s senses during Operation Sindoor, came as guests at the ‘SHE’ Conclave organized by India TV. He answered India TV’s questions openly.
What did Akanksha tell about Operation Sindoor?
Regarding Operation Sindoor, Akanksha said that after so many years of training for a soldier, the time comes when we are ready to play that role. We were fully prepared with the team. We were ready for every challenge. There were mixed emotions where I was posted. We had to stop it and end it quickly.
He said that wherever I was posted, I was always put forward. It will take some more time for women to be accepted everywhere in the society. Women will make their place.
She said that I was inspired by Captain Vikram Batra since my school days. My father and mother are from teacher line. Since childhood, I wanted to see myself in the army. I wanted to fly. My father used to say don’t be afraid, go ahead, we are always standing behind you. I also worked in an IT company and then joined the army.
Akanksha told that during preparation, my father used to pick me up in the morning and take me for running. Then people used to say to the father that where do you bring a girl to run among the boys. But now there has been a change and people’s thinking is changing.

What did Squadron Leader Neha tell?
Squadron Leader Neha said that women are doing very well and in the coming times, more women will be in the Army. My brother is in civil line and I am in the army. He is in my third generation army. The family is very happy.
Neha told that I am married to a soldier. We both understand what our uniform responsibilities are. As a woman you have to look a little harder. We both are involved at home and work outside as well. We both respect each other’s jobs.
Neha told that when I am on duty, I ensure that all the ships land safely. It’s a challenge but it’s part of our job and I’m proud of it.
