When will registration start for ‘Subhradra Yojana’, which women will get financial benefits?

Bhubaneswar: The BJP government in Odisha has taken a big step towards making women economically stronger. Deputy CM Prabhati Parida has announced that the state government is going to reopen the portal to accept new applications under its ambitious Subhadra Scheme. This decision has been taken keeping in mind those eligible women who due to some reason were deprived of the benefits of this scheme in the initial phase.

When will applications be taken?

Deputy CM and in-charge of Women and Child Development Department, Prabhati Parida said that the process of new applications under Subhadra Scheme will start from April 1, 2006 and will continue till April 30, 2026. During this one month, eligible women of the state will be able to register through Subhadra Portal. The Deputy CM made it clear that the government aims to ensure that no eligible woman of the state is deprived of the benefits of this historic scheme.

Who can apply?

Women in the age group of 21 to 60 years can apply for Subhadra Yojana. However, only those women can apply in this who could not apply in the first phase due to some reason. An official said that under this scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2024, more than one crore women beneficiaries have so far received benefits.

How much financial benefit will you get?

Under this scheme, women will get Rs 10,000 per year in two installments for five years. Thus each beneficiary will receive Rs 50,000 in five years. New applications will be registered through the Subhadra portal by Common Service Centers (CSC) or Ama Seva Centers (ASK). The application forms will be available free of cost in all Anganwadi Centers (AWC) and CDPO offices. Parida said that Subhadra Yojana is a historic initiative for the empowerment of women in the state. He said that the government has made all necessary arrangements to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the scheme.
