New Delhi: Amidst the news of shortage of gas cylinders in the country, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has given important information. The Ministry has posted on its X handle that booking of domestic LPG cylinders can be done easily through many convenient means available by the oil marketing companies.

Domestic LPG cylinders can be booked from home in 5 different ways. This process can be completed through WhatsApp, SMS/IVRS, mobile app of the respective OMC. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas says that because of these processes, consumers do not need to go to the distributor or stand in queues.

What are the 5 different ways to book domestic LPG cylinder at home?

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has posted on Twitter that consumers can book domestic LPG cylinders by visiting WhatsApp, Missed Call, IVRS, Application and web page to book cylinders of Bharat Gas, Indane and HP Gas.

For this, different numbers have been given on which domestic LPG cylinder can be booked through WhatsApp, Missed Call, IVRS. Gas cylinder can also be booked through Hello BPCL, Indian Oil One and HP Pay Application.

People were seen standing in long queues to get gas cylinders in the country.

As soon as people came to know that there was a shortage of gas cylinders in the country, they started standing in queues outside gas agencies and warehouses. The situation became such that at many places in the country, people were seen standing in queues since 3 o’clock in the morning. Many people also said that they have been standing in the queue for 3 days but their number is not coming up nor are they getting the cylinder.

In such a situation, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas’s announcement of 5 different ways to book domestic LPG cylinders can provide some relief to the consumers.
