India-US trade agreement likely to be implemented in April
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that an interim trade agreement between India and America is likely to be signed in March and come into effect in April. He also said that India’s free trade agreements with the UK and Oman are likely to come into effect in April. With New Zealand, the agreement is expected to come into force in September. A three-day meeting between Indian and US officials to finalize the legal text for the interim trade agreement will begin in the US on February 23.
