Zepto delivery boy came under the moving bus, crushed his head and stopped breathing; Captured in CCTV

Abhishek, a 25-year-old delivery executive, lost his life in a horrific road accident on Monday night in Mehandipatnam area of ​​Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Abhishek worked for Zepto and was on duty at the time of the accident. CCTV footage of this entire incident has also come to light, which has exposed the negligence of security arrangements and heavy vehicles.

How did the accident happen?

The incident is of January 5. Abhishek, a resident of Shekhpet, was passing through the main road of Mehndipatnam on his two-wheeler. Meanwhile, a private bus of Ganesh Travels hit his bike hard. The collision was so severe that Abhishek came under the tire of the bus and died on the spot.

The police took immediate action and sent the body to the government hospital for postmortem and started investigation on the basis of CCTV footage. Mehndipatnam police have registered a case against the driver of the private bus and arrested him. Meanwhile, senior police officers have also appealed to other delivery partners to always wear helmets and follow traffic rules while on the road.

After this incident, Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union (TGPWU) has expressed strong protest against the platform companies. Founder president of the union Sheikh Salauddin expressed deep sorrow and anger over this accident. Questioning the policies of the companies, he said, “10 minutes of delivery starts on time, projects worth Rs 100 crore are launched immediately, but when it comes to the life of a worker and compensation to his family, these companies step back.”
